The Mentored Sailing Program for 2025 is at capacity. Any applications will be put on the waiting list.
When you join the Mentored Sailing Program, you become a BS&BC Intermediate Club Member. As a member of the BS&BC sailing community, you enjoy the wonderful world of sailing, a friendly community, social gatherings offered by BS&BC throughout the year such as The Hook regattas, the year end raft up as well as, the Commodore's Dinner and "Sail past". MSP Members are entitled to all Intermediate Membership amenities.
BS&BC believes sailing is a family sport and encourages members to bring a first mate along. With the purchase of a MSP membership, your 'family member' may join for a discounted fee. Participant must live at the same address.

The Mentored Sailing Program encourages the joy of sailing and development of sailing skills without having to own a keelboat. You will learn how to sail out in the bay and learn about boat maintenance and ownership all while taking part in the BSBC sailing community.
Already a senior member of BS&BC and looking to improve your seamanship?
You too can join the Mentored Sailing Program and get mentored on your boat.
Join as Intermediate member and you will be matched with a BS&BC MSP Mentor who will mentor your group on our club sailboats and introduce you to all facets of sailing and boat maintenance. Your lessons will be held once a week for 3 hours at the agreed time for 16 weeks.
Membership details
- Mentored Sailing Program Membership: $450.00 plus HST
- MSP (family member): $340.00 plus HST
- All members complete 10 volunteer hours (five hours within the program).
- There is also an option available using your own sailboat. Please let us know your interest and we will discuss the possibilities of being mentored on your own boat.
- Membership periods are based on the BS&BC October to September fiscal year.
