About
The Burlington Sailing & Boating Club is a private club with membership open to those interested in recreational boating. The club is located in LaSalle Park overlooking Burlington Bay. The club is dedicated to providing a comprehensive boating program to all members and to the promotion of better and safer boating. The club is a self-help organization that relies on volunteer work hours from its members to maintain the low cost of operations.
Program
Membership in the B.S.&B.C. allows a member to participate in:
· organized cruises to other points on Lake Ontario
· twice weekly club races for dinghy and keel boats, and weekend regattas
· participation in other club sponsored races and regattas
· cruising and racing seminars, movie nights, and other social events during the year - Commodore's Ball (March), Blessing of the Boats & Sailpast (June), Swinefest (July), Hector/Equinox Regatta (September), Awards Nights (October & November), Children's Christmas party & Christmas Levy & New Year's Eve (December).....and more
· regular receipt of our newsletter "Underway"
Facilities
Our facilities to date include:
· a clubhouse in LaSalle Park
· boat storage compound for dry sailing and tenders
· junior and adult sailing school conducted in Club owned centerboard boats
· limited winter storage for keelboats
· pump out facility
· mast hoist crane
· BBQ facilities at the docks and clubhouse
